Chartering Manager

Join our dynamic team!

We are looking for a person to join and support our Commercial (Chartering) team with immediate effect.  

You will be joining an experienced team of 12 colleagues based in Schnaittenbach and Hamburg. In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day chartering activities of our fleet. Current total fleet consists of 12 modern bulk carriers ranging from 27,000 to 40,000 DWAT. All key fleet management disciplines are handled in-house, offering you close interaction with operational, technical, and commercial functions and a comprehensive view of the business.

• Following the shipping market developments and analyzing employment options for pool, time chartered and management tonnage
• Voyage and / or time charter calculations, including associated tasks such as checking port expenses, port restrictions, tentative stow plans with master etc.
• Offers, negotiations and fixing of cargo orders for the employment of own and management ships with subsequent follow-up of administration work
• Assisting colleagues in the Commercial Department in their day-to-day activities

• 5 (min.) to 10 years’ Chartering experience in the dry bulk Handysize sector, preferably from ship-owning side
• Strong communication, analytical and negotiating skills
• Excellent English skills; other languages will be advantageous
• Ability to create and/or promote business
• Willingness to travel
• A true team player with a collaborative and proactive mindset
